Intercultural Engagement Coordinator (00497A)
The Office of Intercultural Relations (OIR) at Old Dominion University is seeking candidates for the Intercultural Engagement Coordinator position. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position will review, analyze and direct the logistics and implementation of OIR’s initiatives; social media platforms; marketing and promotional tools and manage OIR’s website. Ensure relevant assessment, evaluation, and documentation of OIR’s activities to ensure demonstrations of weave objectives.
Required qualifications: Considerable knowledge of public relations and marketing principles and practices. Demonstrated knowledge and skills pertaining to current social media platforms. graphic software programs, and/or web management. Demonstrated knowledge of the dimensions of diversity. Demonstrated skills to manage and execute multiple priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated knowledge of current promotion trends for university and community constituents. Logistical skills that support and manage a wide array of events for diverse constituents. Excellent organizational, management, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications: A Master’s Degree in higher education, international relations, and /or international business. Demonstrated ability to establish and promote cross cultural partnerships to ensure successful initiatives. Demonstrated ability to implement and assess small- and large-scale events. Ability to conduct workshops and training sessions as it pertains to diversity and inclusion. Working knowledge in program assessment and evaluation. Some experience working in a college or university setting.
