The Part-Time Clerk position is for 17 ½ hours/week and will assist in general office functions.
Typical Work Activities
- Opens, sorts, distributes mail
- Fills requests for applications, forms, etc. and answers routine questions for completing them
- Issues form letters and notices
- Makes basic arithmetical calculations
- Prepares basic reports from assembled data
- Answers the phone to give basic information
- Files documents in the appropriate locations
- Makes copies of necessary documents
- Greets clients, answers questions, and directs to appropriate coworkers
- Fills out routine forms
- FAXes documents as needed
- Other routine tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of business arithmetic and English
- Ability to understand and carry out basic oral and written directions
- Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
- Ability to maintain basic records
